Abbots Cross Celebrates 20 Years of Celtic Music — St. Patrick’s Day at City Winery, Pittsburgh
Named after a town in County Antrim, Ireland, Abbots Cross will celebrate 20 years of performing Celtic music with a special St. Patrick’s Day concert at City Winery, Pittsburgh. Known for their dynamic blend of traditional Celtic tunes and contemporary musical influences, Abbots Cross has become one of the region’s most distinctive and enduring Celtic ensembles.
The group features Alan Booth on vocals, whose warm, expressive style anchors their sound, and Mike Clancy, a talented flutist, saxophonist, and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz background adds unique color and depth. Paul Busalachhi on bass and Dan Moore on drums create a solid rhythm section that drives the music forward.
Drawing from jazz, classical, rock, and folk, Abbots Cross keeps Celtic music fresh while honoring its roots.
