Art Garfunkel Jr. - Songs of My Father
City Winery Pittsburgh Presents: Art Garfunkel Jr. - Songs of My Father Live in Concert on July 28th at 8pm
Art Garfunkel jr was born in Manhattan / Upper Eastside on December 15, 1990 as the eldest of two sons, by Art Garfunkel sen. and born Kathryn Garfunkel.
He spent most of his childhood and youth in the USA.
Since his grandparents come from German-speaking countries, he often spent his holidays in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a result, he also learned the German language at an early age.
His interest in history, travel, and political and social issues was awakened while he was still at school and shaped the rest of his life. He took part in various study trips and attended numerous seminars, training courses and courses at well-known educational institutions.
As the son of an artist family, he has been on stage with his parents and grandparents since his earliest childhood, whether at family celebrations or events, so that he has performed in over 50 countries to date.
As a teenager, he attended the renowned "Rudolf Steiner School" in New York City and completed various language and sports courses.
Art Garfunkel jr's interest in German Schlager and folk music awoke very early on.
