City Winery Pittsburgh Presents: Jerry Garcia Band Brunch with Reuben's Painted Mandolin live in concert on September 30th at Noon.

Reuben's Painted Mandolin is a tribute to the music of the Jerry Garcia Band. Featuring Eric "Pappy" Weingrad (theCAUSE) on guitar and vocals, joined by a rotating cast of players. The lineup for this performance will be Pappy's band mates from theCAUSE, a Pittsburgh Jam Band celebrating its 20th Anniversary in November, with Jill Simmons (Brown Eyed Women), Mike South (West Park Road), Michael Cerveris (The Sun Champs), David Tauberg and local songstress, Cherylann Hawk (permanent part-time member of theCAUSE, John Vento, The Granati Brothers, and her own illustrious solo career). 

Jerry Garcia is best known for being the leader of the psychedelic band, the Grateful Dead. But as his loyal fans have often said, "The Grateful Dead was like going to the circus.... the Jerry Garcia Band was like going to church." Lots of soul, old R&B, Motown and more.
